Headed out of Redding just after 8am, stopped for Breakfast, Within 30 mins of leaving 24 degree temps at that time, we were at snow capped mountains.

We drove past a town called Weed which was mildly amusing. Didn't stop but they seem to play on the name with their product placement
Stopped at Medford and again for a brief lunch further along. Arrived at Bandon Dunes about 3:15pm

Had a 16:30hrs tee time for Bandon Preserve - the Par 3, 13 hole course. We were paired up with 2 lovely ladies - Jeanie and Kirsten. Apparently women are a rare site around here. It was about 20 degree's and slightly windy, not too bad - very pleasant golfing weather.

| Little squirrel was quite friendly |
Hard to see in the pics but 2 of the flags were only just visible behind sand dunes or bunkers. The scenery is stunning. Sean played well - 3 over. I hit some good shots, had a few pars, found it great to only hit 1 tee shot then chip or putt. I can't wait for RQ to develop and open our Par 3 course because this was such a great way to spend 2 hours late afternoon.
Back to our room, they had delivered a bottle of wine, corkscrew and glasses for our wedding anniversary which was lovely (we don't need to tell them we don't drink wine!!)
Showered and walked to McGees Pub for dinner - everywhere is walking distance and you can charge everything to your room, makes it very easy. There are multiple restaurants to choose from

This place has to be visited by every golfer, it is the whole package. A great day today, another 3 to come and looking forward to them all |
