Day 5 - Pacific Dunes and Bandon Trails
Slept well and luckily the acute pain in my back had settled, but was still a bit sore so I opted not to play this morning. Sean was always going to play 2 courses today, I was only supposed to play Pacific Dunes in the am.
Sean headed off to play and I spent the morning reading my book, went for a walk and then I headed to the Pacific Dunes clubhouse to meet Sean for lunch before he headed off for his 2nd round. He was paired up with 2 other guys - from Portland and a Canadian who is living in Boston, plus of course Brett the caddy.
I had a nice quiet afternoon, finished my book and happy to say my back feels much better ready for golf again tomorrow. Sean teed off at 3pm. Group of 4 including the "worst" golfer he has ever seen!! Tough and unforgiving course, inland, no ocean views.
He got back to the Lodge about 8pm, we did some clothes shopping in the pro shop and then had dinner at McGee's Pub again, Sean had pizza, I had chicken and salad.
I am sure that Sean will sleep well tonight after walking 36 holes today!! Last round here tomorrow - at Sheep Ranch before heading to Portland. This place is magical and a MUST for every golfer to visit 🏌
