Day 7 - Portland, Oregon

We both slept well. Lazy start to the morning - headed off to Woodburn Premium Outlets to do a spot of Sales Tax Free shopping!! This place was so much better than the one in San Francisco - more outlets and great prices. Beautiful day - 34 degree's and sunny 🌞 Oregon is a beautiful state.

We shopped until we dropped, had a nice Thai lunch then shopped some more. Luckily I brought a half empty suitcase with me 🛍😉 We headed back toward Portland with 2 more shopping stops on the way. Got back to the hotel about 5pm.

Had a little rest, took the tags off all our purchases, then headed out to have a look at the city. Sadly, the homelessness and drug issues are also clearly evident here. The area we are staying is lovely, tree lined streets, beautiful homes

Once you get into the city though it changes. Lots of men walking around in dresses, zombie like drug addicts on street corners, people begging in the street etc.. We didn't stay, just returned to our area and walked around the corner to a whole street of lovely restaurants

We ended up having Wood Fired Pizza, sitting at an outside table watching the world go by (and a few crazies).

Able to get my zero alcohol beer over here, the can's are entertaining 😅

Back to the hotel, off to Seattle tomorrow
