Day 15 - Bend, Oregon
Had a nice sleep in and a late breakfast then headed out for our final shopping excursion !!! It was showery and quite cold today.
Then had a drive around Bend, it is situated on the Deschutes River and is just so scenic, there are loads of outdoor activities for the warmer months and then skiing in winter. All of Oregon is beautiful and the people are so friendly.

We had lunch at the Deschutes Brewery:
The only 0% Beer for me was their Black Butte Porter - very interesting - they describe it as rich, chocolate, coffee, luscious, roasty
We had a very nice lunch then I tried a Boneyard Elixir. - a CBD sparkling beverage - also very nice
A few observations about the USA:
1. The drivers are so courteous to pedestrians, if you even look like you are trying to cross a road they stop and wave you across. This happens over and over so it is certainly not an isolated occurrence
2. There is a trend on US golf courses now to play music from a bluetooth speaker in your cart or on your bag. There is no consideration for your fellow players ie: if they even have the same taste in music and also who wants to ruin a lovely day out in nature enjoying the peace and quiet?. It is an awful trend (in my opinion) and I really hope it does not take off in Australia.
3. All trucks put on their hazard lights if they are going underspeed on any uphill or downhill stretch of road
4. The servings of food are still HUGE, although not as cheap as it used to be
Back at the hotel now, resting Sean's elbow today, but we are booked to play golf tomorrow.
